2024 Walk A Mile for A Safe Place

2024 marked A Safe Place’s tenth year raising awareness and funding via our Walk A Mile For A Safe Place event. Walk A Mile for A Safe Place is a family friendly one mile walk that begins and ends at Children’s Beach. It sends messages that highlight the importance of healthy relationships with ourselves and with partners, friendships and family.

Support of our mission by via the walk (or by sponsoring the event) allows us to create impact directly in the Nantucket community through our free and confidential programs and services for survivors. It also allows us to continue to work passionately within outreach and prevention for Nantucket’s youth.

At our 2024 event, we honored our former Board of Directors President (2019-2023), Linda Hoey, who passed away in early 2024. Linda served eleven big-hearted years within A Safe Place’s mission.

It truly does take a village to create change. Thank you to everyone who joined us in being part of that change in 2024!

2024 Registration Information For Walkers

Adults: $25
Children & Young Adults (ages 5-18): $10
Children under five years old are free
